ISO 2340 A

Pin: clevis without head · Products: 325

ISO 2340 A - Clevis pins without head, type A without split pin holes

Clevis pins without head, type A, made without the split pin holes of type B; shaped like the parallel pin ISO 2338, but a pivot pin toleranced h11 rather than m6 or h8. The pin is a plain cylinder that serves as a pivot in clevises. The shank is toleranced h11 and both ends have a 30 degree chamfer c; the pins are made of free-cutting steel with a hardness of 125 HV to 245 HV. Covers nominal diameters from 3 to 100 mm with lengths from about twice to ten times the diameter, up to 200 mm. The clevis pin with head is ISO 2341.

ISO 2340 B - Clevis pins without head, type B with split pin holes

Clevis pins without head, type B: the type A pin with a cross drilled split pin hole near each end, so that a cotter pin on either side holds it in the clevis. The holes take split pins to ISO 1234, which is why the hole diameter d1 equals the nominal size of the split pin; both holes lie in one plane, each at the distance le from its end of the pin. The shank tolerance h11, the 30 degree chamfer c on both ends and the free-cutting steel of 125 HV to 245 HV are the same as type A. Covers nominal diameters from 3 to 100 mm with lengths from about twice to ten times the diameter, up to 200 mm. The clevis pin with head and a single split pin hole is ISO 2341 type B.

DIN 1443 A

DIN 1443 A

DIN 1443 A - Clevis pins without head, form A without split pin holes

Withdrawn German standard for clevis pins without head, form A, without split pin holes: the ISO 2340 type A pin with its own row of nominal lengths. The 1974 edition took over the dimensions of ISO 2340:1972 and was replaced by DIN EN 22340:1992-10, the German adoption of ISO 2340. The pin is a plain cylinder toleranced h11 with a 30 degree chamfer c on both ends; diameters, tolerance and chamfers are those of ISO 2340 type A, so only the row of nominal lengths tells the two apart: DIN 1443 keeps 25, 105, 110, 115, 125, 130, 150, 170 and 190 mm and knows no 24, 26 and 32 mm. Covers nominal diameters from 3 to 100 mm with lengths from about twice to ten times the diameter, up to 200 mm.

DIN 1443 B - Clevis pins without head, form B with split pin holes

Withdrawn German standard for clevis pins without head, form B, with a cross drilled split pin hole near each end: the ISO 2340 type B pin with its own row of nominal lengths. The 1974 edition took over the dimensions of ISO 2340:1972 and was replaced by DIN EN 22340:1992-10, the German adoption of ISO 2340. Both holes lie in one plane, each with its axis at the distance le from its end of the pin, and the hole diameter d1 equals the nominal size of the split pin. The shank tolerance h11, the 30 degree chamfer c on both ends and the holes are those of ISO 2340 type B, so only the row of nominal lengths tells the two apart: DIN 1443 keeps 25, 105, 110, 115, 125, 130, 150, 170 and 190 mm and knows no 24, 26 and 32 mm. Covers nominal diameters from 3 to 100 mm with lengths from about twice to ten times the diameter, up to 200 mm.
