DIN 6330 B

DIN 6330 B

Nut: hex · Products: 11

DIN 6330 B - Hexagon nuts with a height of 1.5d, with spherical bearing face

Hexagon nuts 1.5d high with a spherical bearing face, form B: unlike the ISO 4032 or DIN 934 nut, one face is a convex sphere of radius r1 that meets the end face in a circle of diameter d1, and the nut is 1.5d tall, between the regular nut of about 0.8d and the DIN 6334 coupling nut of 3d. With the spherical face the nut seats in a DIN 6319 conical seat; the other face is flat with a 30 degree chamfer and can bear on a DIN 6340 washer. The width across corners is the product grade A e min of the standard. Covers metric coarse pitch from M6 to M48 in the preferred sizes of the 2003 edition.

ISO 10511

ISO 10511

Nut: hex · Products: 19

ISO 10511 - Prevailing torque hexagon thin nuts (with non-metallic insert), product grades A and B

Prevailing torque hexagon thin nuts with a non-metallic insert, the low form of the nylon insert lock nut: ISO 7040 with the thin ISO 4035 body instead of the regular one, and the replacement for DIN 985, which has a taller steel body and the DIN 934 widths across flats on M10, M12, M14 and M22. Product grade A for threads up to and including M16 and product grade B above. The metal body is the thin ISO 4035 nut (style 0): for a given diameter the hexagon is identical, and a polyamide ring held in a crimped collar on top grips the bolt thread and resists loosening. The room for the insert above the body is the same as in the regular ISO 7040 and high ISO 7041 nuts of the same diameter. Thin nuts carry less load than regular or high nuts and are not designed to resist thread stripping. The insert limits the service temperature. Covers metric coarse pitch from M3 to M39; M3 and M4 are specified in a normative annex, and M7, M14, M18, M22, M27, M33 and M39 are non-preferred threads.

ISO 10512

ISO 10512

Nut: hex · Products: 19

ISO 10512 - Prevailing torque hexagon regular nuts (with non-metallic insert) with metric fine pitch thread, product grades A and B

Prevailing torque hexagon regular nuts with a non-metallic insert and metric fine pitch thread: the ISO 7040 nut with the same hexagon and heights, only the thread differs. Product grade A for threads up to and including M16 and product grade B above. The metal body is the regular ISO 8673 nut. A polyamide ring held in a crimped collar on top grips the bolt thread and resists loosening. The insert limits the service temperature. Covers M8x1 to M39x3, the same threads as ISO 8674, and includes both the preferred threads and the non-preferred threads.

ISO 4032

ISO 4032

Nut: hex · Products: 29

ISO 4032 - Hexagon regular nuts (style 1), product grades A and B

Hexagon regular nuts, style 1, with metric coarse pitch thread: the base ISO nut, of which ISO 4033 is the high, ISO 4035 the thin and ISO 8673 the fine pitch version. Product grade A for threads up to and including M16 and product grade B above. Current replacement for DIN 934, with revised widths across flats on M10, M12, M14 and M22 and greater heights on most sizes. The grade C version is ISO 4034.

ISO 4033

ISO 4033

Nut: hex · Products: 17

ISO 4033 - Hexagon high nuts (style 2), product grades A and B

Hexagon high nuts, style 2: the ISO 4032 nut with the same hexagon but a greater height, which increases thread engagement and stripping resistance. Product grade A for threads up to and including M16 and product grade B above. Covers metric coarse pitch from M5 to M39 and includes both the preferred threads and the non-preferred threads M7, M14, M18, M22, M27, M33 and M39. The fine pitch version is ISO 8674.

ISO 4035

ISO 4035

Nut: hex · Products: 29

ISO 4035 - Hexagon thin nuts chamfered (style 0), product grades A and B

Hexagon thin nuts, style 0, chamfered: the ISO 4032 hexagon at about half the height, for lock (jam) nuts. Product grade A for threads up to and including M16 and product grade B above. Because the reduced height lowers the load the nut can carry, thin nuts are not rated for full strength. Current replacement for DIN 439. The unchamfered version is ISO 4036 and the fine pitch version ISO 8675. Covers metric coarse pitch from M1.6 to M64 and includes both the preferred threads and the non-preferred threads M3.5, M14, M18, M22, M27, M33, M39, M45, M52 and M60.

ISO 4036

ISO 4036

Nut: hex · Products: 10

ISO 4036 - Hexagon thin nuts unchamfered (style 0), product grade B

Hexagon thin nuts, style 0, unchamfered, product grade B: the ISO 4035 nut with both bearing faces left flat instead of chamfered. For a given diameter the nominal width across flats and the height are the same, but the wider grade B tolerance makes the nut narrower across corners. Thin nuts are not rated for full strength. Covers metric coarse pitch from M1.6 to M10; M3.5 is the only non-preferred thread.

ISO 7040

ISO 7040

Nut: hex · Products: 19

ISO 7040 - Prevailing torque hexagon regular nuts (with non-metallic insert), product grades A and B

Prevailing torque hexagon regular nuts with a non-metallic insert, widely known as nylon insert lock nuts: the regular-height, coarse pitch member of the family, where ISO 10511 is thin, ISO 7041 high and ISO 10512 fine pitch, and the replacement for DIN 982, which has the DIN 934 widths across flats on M10, M12, M14 and M22. Product grade A for threads up to and including M16 and product grade B above. The metal body is the regular ISO 4032 nut: for a given diameter the hexagon body is identical, and a polyamide ring held in the top of the nut grips the bolt thread and resists loosening. The overall height is therefore greater than that of a plain nut of the same size. The insert limits the service temperature. Covers metric coarse pitch from M3 to M39; M3 and M4 are specified in a normative annex, and M7, M14, M18, M22, M27, M33 and M39 are non-preferred threads.
