Loose steel wire nails with an extra large flat head, for roofing felt and other sheet coverings that have to be held over their whole surface. The head diameter is specified as a lower limit rather than as a nominal value, because the head is only required to reach a bearing surface. Covers sizes d from 2 to 3 mm with lengths from 15 to 60 mm; the standard names the head alone, so the plain shank of clause 5 applies. Identical adoption of EN 10230-1:1999.

ГОСТ 4028-63 - Building nails - Construction and dimensions

Building nails of the Soviet standard, kept as an interstate standard, with a flat head (П) or a conical head (К) and shank sizes d 0.8 to 8 mm. The common nail of Ukraine and the CIS, designated e.g. К 2,5x60. Round wire with a plain shank, made with a flat head (П) in the thin sizes d 0.8 to 1.6 mm with lengths from 8 to 50 mm, or with a conical head (К) in the sizes d 1.8 to 8 mm with lengths from 32 to 250 mm. The head diameter is a lower limit: twice the shank for the flat head and a table value for the conical head. In Ukraine replaced by ДСТУ ГОСТ 4028:2008 from 1 July 2008.
