Deep-pattern parallel keys of bright key steel for drive-type fastenings without taper action. DIN 6885-1:2021-11 specifies fourteen forms. The ends are rounded (A, AS, C, E, EoS), square (B, BS, D, F, FoS, G, H, J) or one of each (AB). C, D and G have one retaining hole with a counterbore, E, F, H, EoS and FoS have two. AS and BS, and E and F from 12 × 8, have threaded extraction holes. G, H and J have a 15° exit taper at one end; J also has a spring pin hole. The designation gives the form, width, height and length.
