DIN 557 - Fasteners - Square nuts - Product grade C
Square nuts with a greater height than DIN 562 thin square nuts and a chamfer on one face. DIN 557:2026-02 specifies product grade C, coarse metric threads M5–M16, in steel or stainless steel. Widths across flats are 17 mm for M10 and 19 mm for M12.
DIN 562 - Square thin nuts - Product grade B
Thin square nuts with two flat end faces without chamfers. DIN 562:2013-05 specifies product grade B, coarse metric threads M1.6–M10 and thread tolerance 6H; M10 is designated SW16.
