ISO 8752
ISO 8752 - Spring-type straight pins - Slotted, heavy duty
Slotted spring-type straight pins, heavy duty: a hollow pin with a slot along its whole length, unlike the solid parallel pins ISO 8734 and ISO 2338, and with a thicker wall s than the light duty slotted pins of ISO 13337. Before mounting the pin is larger than its nominal diameter d1; it is driven into a hole of diameter d1 toleranced H12, and in the smallest permitted hole the slot shall not close fully. The nominal diameters are chosen so that pins can be fitted one into the other or combined with the light duty pins of ISO 13337. Both ends are chamfered by the length a; from a nominal diameter of 10 mm a single chamfer is optional at the discretion of the supplier. The form and width of the slot are left to the supplier, and non-interlocking pins, slot type N, are supplied by agreement. The pins are made of steel St hardened and tempered to 420 HV to 560 HV, of cold worked austenitic stainless steel A or of martensitic stainless steel C hardened and tempered to 440 HV to 560 HV; the minimum double shear strength of the table applies to steel and martensitic stainless steel only. Covers nominal diameters from 1 to 50 mm with lengths from 4 to 200 mm.
