DIN 434 - Square taper washers for U-sections

Square taper washers with one face sloped by 8 % for the flanges of U-sections (channels), unlike the flat DIN 436 and gentler than the 14 % of DIN 435 for I-sections. They square the seat of a bolt or nut on the sloped inner flange of a channel, in structural bolting up to property class 5.6. The washer is a by b with a central hole d; one face slopes across b by 8 %, the other is square to the bolt and carries two grooves that mark the slope. The thickness h is measured at the hole axis. Covers bolts M8 to M27. The current 2024 edition replaces DIN 434:2000-04 with editorial changes only, so the dimensions are those of the 2000 edition.
