Kupukantaiset ruuvit, joissa on tyypin H (Phillips) tai tyypin Z (Pozidriv) ristiura, metrinen karkea kierre, tuoteluokka A, ISO-standardi, joka korvasi DIN 7985:n; toisin kuin ISO 7380-1:n kupukantaista kuusiokoloruuvia, tätä ruuvia kierretään ruuvitaltalla, ja sen kanta on lyhyt lieriö, jonka yläpinta on kupera, eikä matala kupu. Koko on kierre ja pituus d × l, ja uran tyyppi täydentää merkinnän, kuten ISO 7045 - M5 x 20 - 4.8 - Z: saman koon H- ja Z-ruuveilla on sama kanta ja sama uran numero, 0–4, joka on ruuvitaltan koko, mutta kummallakin uralla on oma viitehalkaisijansa m ja oma tulkin tunkeutumissyvyytensä. Kierteen halkaisija määrää kannan halkaisijan dk, kannan korkeuden k ja kuperan yläpinnan likimääräisen säteen rf. Enintään 25 mm pitkät ruuvit kokoluokissa M1,6–M3 ja enintään 40 mm pitkät kokoluokissa M3,5–M10 on kierteitetty kantaan asti; pidemmissä kierrepituus b on vähintään 25 mm tai 38 mm. Varren halkaisija on suunnilleen kierteen kylkihalkaisija tai kierteen täysi halkaisija. Teräsruuvit valmistetaan lujuusluokkaan 4.8, ruostumattomat luokkiin A2-50 ja A2-70 ja ei-rautametalliset ISO 8839:n mukaan; kierteen toleranssi on 6g. Kattaa kierteet M1,6–M10, joista M3,5:tä tulee mahdollisuuksien mukaan välttää, nimellispituuksilla 3–60 mm.
