Bultar utan huvud, typ A, tillverkade utan de saxsprintshål som typ B har; formade som det cylindriska stiftet ISO 2338, men en ledtapp med toleransen h11 i stället för m6 eller h8. Bulten är en slät cylinder som tjänar som ledtapp i gafflar och stångändsöglor och säkras på annat sätt än med saxsprint, till exempel med låsringar i spår. Skaftet har tolerans h11 och båda ändarna har en fas c på 30 grader; bultarna tillverkas av automatstål med hårdheten 125 HV till 245 HV. Omfattar nominella diametrar från 3 till 100 mm med längder från ungefär två till tio gånger diametern, högst 200 mm. Bulten med huvud är ISO 2341.
