付费访问矩形截面钢丝制模具压缩弹簧，按安装空间和四个以颜色区分的刚度等级之一选用，而不像圆钢丝弹簧那样按钢丝直径和弹簧圈径选用。用于冲模、模具和夹紧装置等在狭小空间内需要较大载荷的场合。一个规格就是一个安装空间：弹簧所在的座孔直径 DH、弹簧套装的导杆直径 Dd 以及自由长度 L0，座孔和导杆分别按 H15 和 h15 给出公差。每个安装空间提供四个刚度等级，用漆色区分：轻型（绿色）、中型（蓝色）、重型（红色）和特重型（黄色）。等级决定最大工作压缩量：轻型为自由长度的 40 %，中型 37,5 %，重型 30 %，特重型 25 %，因此同一安装空间在不同等级下给出的力相差很大。座孔直径在轻型和中型为 10 至 63 mm，在重型和特重型至 50 mm，自由长度为 25 至 305 mm。该文件只规定安装尺寸、刚度和颜色，不规定钢丝截面、材料和使用寿命。
