付費存取矩形截面鋼絲製模具壓縮彈簧，依安裝空間與四個以顏色區分的剛度等級之一選用，而不像圓鋼絲彈簧那樣依鋼絲直徑與彈簧圈徑選用。用於沖模、模具和夾緊裝置等在狹小空間內需要較大負載的場合。一個規格就是一個安裝空間：彈簧所在的座孔直徑 DH、彈簧套裝的導桿直徑 Dd 以及自由長度 L0，座孔和導桿分別依 H15 與 h15 給出公差。每個安裝空間提供四個剛度等級，以漆色區分：輕型（綠色）、中型（藍色）、重型（紅色）和特重型（黃色）。等級決定最大工作壓縮量：輕型為自由長度的 40 %，中型 37,5 %，重型 30 %，特重型 25 %，因此同一安裝空間在不同等級下所給出的力相差很大。座孔直徑在輕型與中型為 10 至 63 mm，在重型與特重型至 50 mm，自由長度為 25 至 305 mm。該文件只規定安裝尺寸、剛度和顏色，不規定鋼絲截面、材料和使用壽命。
