六角頭螺栓，細桿直徑約等於螺紋節徑，而非 ISO 4014 中等於螺紋直徑的光桿，公制粗牙螺紋，產品等級 B。螺栓以扳手在六角頭上鎖緊；螺紋在較細的胚料上滾軋而成，因此在螺紋長度 b 內保持螺紋直徑 d，而頭部下方的桿部維持 ds，約為螺紋節徑，並在約 2,5P 的螺紋收尾 x 內增大至 d。滾軋螺紋而不車削桿部可節省材料，較細的桿部也使螺栓比全桿螺栓稍具彈性。一個規格是 d × l 這一對：螺紋直徑決定對邊寬度 s、對角寬度 e、頭部高度 k、支承面 dw 與桿徑 ds，長度則決定螺紋長度 b——125 mm 以內為 2d + 6 mm，超過則為 2d + 12 mm。頭部保持 ISO 4014 的公稱對邊寬度 s 與頭部高度 k，最小對角寬度 e 與支承面 dw 依產品等級 B；製造商可在頭部下方最多 0,5d 的長度內將 ds 增大至 d。涵蓋 M3 至 M20 的螺紋，公稱長度 20 至 150 mm，鋼製性能等級 5.8、6.8 與 8.8，以及不鏽鋼 A2-50 與 A2-70。帶全直徑光桿的半螺紋螺栓是 ISO 4014。
