Terms and definitions
Further as the text goes we use:
TSFP = The program (tsfp-2.exe)
Part = a SolidWorks file with the extension .SLDPRT
Assembly = a SolidWorks assembly file with the extension .SLDASM
Drawing = a SolidWorks drawing file with the extension .SLDDRW
SolidWorks = a SolidWorks operation process, can be in two modes: 1 - without a graphical display (in the windows task manager process list); 2 - with graphical display (in windows task manager applications/programs list).
Before you start
Before starting the execution of some of the TSFP function the TSFP checks whether the SolidWorks is lunched. While working with the TSFP all the SolidWorks files must be closed in every application except the TSFP.
You can work with SolidWorks files via SolidWorks application while running the TSFP. But you must close all the files in the SolidWorks application before exiting the TSFP. Otherwise, it can lead to loss of some data in the parts/assemblies/drawings.
Design tree errors
All files, which the TSFP operates must be without any design tree errors. If a SolidWorks loads a file with design tree error in mode 1 (without graphical display), the SolidWorks can give an alert message asking for some action from user. The problem is that the user is unaware of alert message. In such cases it will seems as if the TSFP and the SolidWorks are not responding. Actualy the TSFP will wait for a response from the SolidWorks and the SolidWorks will wait for response from the user. In this case you need to terminate the TSFP and the SolidWorks through the windows task manager.
Active table row
Table row is considered active, if at least one cell of this row is selected.
Preview function
There is a preview function in the TSFP. In order to display the preview window the TSFP creates a folder called «icons0» with images. «icons0» folder is located in the TSFP parent folder. Do not delete this folder while the TSFP running. After exiting the TSFP «icons0» folder will be deleted automatically.
