DIN 625-1 - Rolling bearings, radial deep groove ball bearings, single row

Single row radial deep groove ball bearings, the most widely used rolling bearing: it carries radial load, takes axial load in both directions and runs at high speed. Covers the dimension series 16, 18, 19, 60, 62, 63 and 64, which are the series 00, 18, 19, 10, 02, 03 and 04 of the ISO 15 general plan, so a designation names one size of that plan: 6205 is the 25 mm bore of dimension series 02, that is 25 x 52 x 15 mm, and 6305 the heavier 25 x 62 x 17 mm of series 03. A bore below 10 mm goes into the designation directly, so 608 is the 8 mm bore of series 10, that is 8 x 22 x 7 mm. Shields and seals (Z, 2Z, RS, 2RS) and the radial internal clearance are ordering options and do not change these dimensions.

ISO 15 - Rolling bearings, radial bearings, boundary dimensions, general plan

General plan of preferred boundary dimensions for radial rolling bearings: the bore diameter d, the outside diameter D, the width B and the smallest permissible chamfer dimension rs min. A size belongs to a dimension series, written as the width series digit followed by the diameter series digit, so one bore diameter is offered in several outside diameters and widths: series 02 gives the 25 x 52 x 15 mm envelope, series 03 the heavier 25 x 62 x 17 mm one. Diameter series run 7, 8, 9, 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 by increasing outside diameter, width series 8, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 by increasing width. The document fixes the envelope only, not the internal design, so it covers ball, cylindrical roller, spherical roller and needle roller bearings alike. Tapered roller bearings, insert bearings, some needle roller bearings and instrument precision bearings follow plans of their own.
