ISO 2341 A - Clevis pins with head, type A without split pin hole

Clevis pins with a plain cylindrical head, type A, made without a split pin hole. Held in place by a means other than a cotter pin, for example a retaining ring in a groove machined by the user, a screw or a welded stop. The shank is toleranced h11 and ends in a 30 degree chamfer; the head is chamfered at 45 degrees and a radius under the head is permissible. Covers nominal diameters from 3 to 100 mm with lengths from about twice to ten times the diameter, up to 200 mm. The version with a split pin hole is type B.

ISO 2341 B - Clevis pins with head, type B with split pin hole

Clevis pins with a plain cylindrical head, type B, made with a cross drilled split pin hole near the free end. Secured with a cotter pin to ISO 1234, which is why the hole diameter equals the nominal size of the split pin. The head, the shank tolerance h11 and the chamfers are the same as type A; the pin adds the hole diameter d1, the distance le from the hole axis to the pin end and the distance lh from the head bearing face to the hole axis. Covers nominal diameters from 3 to 100 mm with lengths from about twice to ten times the diameter, up to 200 mm. Superseded DIN 1444 form B. The version without a hole is type A.

DIN 1444 A - Clevis pins with head, form A without split pin hole

Withdrawn German standard for clevis pins with head, form A, made without a split pin hole. The 1974 edition took over the dimensions of ISO 2341:1972 and was replaced by DIN EN 22341:1992-10, the German adoption of ISO 2341. Head, shank tolerance h11 and chamfers are those of ISO 2341 type A, so only the row of nominal lengths tells the two apart: DIN 1444 keeps 25, 105, 110, 115, 125, 130, 150, 170 and 190 mm and knows no 24, 26 and 32 mm. Kept for old drawings; new designs use ISO 2341 type A.
