ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T1 - Steel wire nails - Part 1: Loose nails for general applications - Table 1: plain shank, circular flat, countersunk and cup head

Loose steel wire nails with a plain shank and a circular flat, countersunk or cup head - the common building nail. Table 1 of the standard covers nominal characteristic sizes d from 1 to 8 mm with lengths from 10 to 280 mm, and gives the head diameter of every size. The three head forms share one size table, so they differ in the shape of the head alone. Identical adoption of EN 10230-1:1999.

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T10 - Steel wire nails - Part 1: Loose nails for general applications - Table 10: square twisted shank, spring head

Spring head nails: a square twisted shank under a domed spring head that seals the fixing of corrugated sheeting. Two sizes only, d 3.4 and 3.8 mm measured across the diagonal of the square, with lengths from 50 to 100 mm and a head of at least 18 mm. The nail length is measured to the bearing face of the head, not over the head. Identical adoption of EN 10230-1:1999.

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T12

Nail · Products: 26

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T12 - Steel wire nails - Part 1: Loose nails for general applications - Table 12: plain oval shank, lost oval and brad oval head

Oval wire nails: the shank is drawn from oval rather than round wire, so it can be driven with the long axis along the grain and split the timber far less. Shank and head are each measured twice, across the oval (d and dh) and along it (D and Dh); the head is 1.6 d across and 1.4 D along. Covers d from 1.2 to 5 mm with lengths from 20 to 150 mm, with the upset head made flat (lost oval) or bevelled (brad oval). Identical adoption of EN 10230-1:1999.

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T2 - Steel wire nails - Part 1: Loose nails for general applications - Table 2: grooved shank, circular flat and countersunk head

Loose steel wire nails with a grooved shank and a circular flat or countersunk head. The grooves rolled along the shank raise the withdrawal resistance, which is why the table runs to longer nails than the plain shank of table 1: sizes d from 1.4 to 8 mm with lengths from 20 to 300 mm. Identical adoption of EN 10230-1:1999.

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T3

Nail · Products: 76

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T3 - Steel wire nails - Part 1: Loose nails for general applications - Table 3: square twisted shank, circular flat and countersunk head

Loose steel wire nails with a square twisted shank and a circular flat or countersunk head. Twisting a square wire makes the nail turn as it is driven and lock into timber; the nominal characteristic size is the size of the square, and the row of sizes therefore differs from the round wire tables. Covers d from 1 to 7 mm with lengths from 15 to 260 mm. Identical adoption of EN 10230-1:1999.

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T4 - Steel wire nails - Part 1: Loose nails for general applications - Table 4: plain shank, lost round head

Loose steel wire nails with a plain shank and a lost round head - the finishing nail, whose small upset head is punched below the surface and filled over. The shank sizes and lengths repeat table 1 for d from 1 to 5 mm and lengths from 10 to 140 mm; only the head is smaller, about 1.4 times the shank. Identical adoption of EN 10230-1:1999.

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T7

ДСТУ EN 10230-1 T7 - Steel wire nails - Part 1: Loose nails for general applications - Table 7: plain shank, clout head, for lightweight boards

Loose steel wire nails with a plain shank and a clout head for fixing lightweight boards. The head is roughly three times the shank, so it holds soft and fibrous boards that a building nail would pull through. Covers sizes d from 2.2 to 4.6 mm with lengths from 20 to 100 mm. Identical adoption of EN 10230-1:1999.
